The slave castles are a thought-provoking monument to a harrowing period in Ghana’s history. This tour will take you on an emotional journey through the castles which held more enslaved Africans than any other in the region, viewing the dungeons and the infamous “Door of no return”. Start in Accra by visiting the Osu Castle and Jamestowm Fort. Next, day 2 will take you Cape Coast Castle and Elimina Castle.
