Mission Statement

At EBIVERSE LLC and all of our affiliate companies and partners, our mission is to elevate traditional slave trade tours to Ghana into transformative pilgrimages that honor the memory of those affected by the transatlantic slave trade. This sacred journey pays tribute at significant sites such as the Slave River, Tomb of the Unknown Slave, and slave castles, while also providing opportunities for fun beach escapes, culinary delights, and immersion in the rich culture and history of Ghana. Guided by the legacies of great Pan-Africanist W.E.B. Du Bois and Ghanaian revolutionary Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, we believe that all Africans or descendants of Africans must make this sacred journey at least once in a lifetime.

Our mission is guided by the following principles:

  1. Historical Remembrance: Offering a transformative pilgrimage experience that honors the memory of those affected by the transatlantic slave trade. By paying tribute at significant sites such as the Slave River, Tomb of the Unknown Slave, and slave castles, participants confront the atrocities of slavery and pay homage to the resilience and dignity of those who suffered.
  2. Cultural Reconnection: Providing Africans and descendants of Africans with an opportunity to reconnect with their heritage, identity, and ancestral lands. By immersing participants in the vibrant traditions, languages, and customs of Ghana, we foster a deep sense of pride, belonging, and cultural continuity.
  3. Educational Enrichment: Offering comprehensive educational experiences that explore the history of the transatlantic slave trade, the struggle for African independence, and the enduring legacies of W.E.B. Du Bois and Kwame Nkrumah. Through guided visits to historical sites, interactive workshops, and storytelling sessions, participants gain a deeper understanding of African history and its impact on contemporary society.
  4. Personal Empowerment: Empowering participants to embark on a journey of personal growth, healing, and self-discovery. Through reflection, dialogue, and cultural immersion activities, participants cultivate resilience, agency, and a renewed sense of purpose.
  5. Collective Solidarity: Creating a supportive and inclusive community of pilgrims who come together to share their stories, experiences, and aspirations for a better future. Through mutual support, solidarity, and empathy, participants find strength and healing in their shared journey.
  6. Culinary and Cultural Exploration: Celebrating the vibrant culture and heritage of Ghana through immersive experiences of culinary delights, music, dance, and art. From savoring traditional Ghanaian cuisine to exploring bustling markets and cultural landmarks, participants immerse themselves in the richness and diversity of Ghanaian culture.
  7. Fun and Relaxation: Providing participants with opportunities for relaxation, rejuvenation, and enjoyment through fun beach escapes and leisure activities. From lounging on pristine beaches to participating in water sports and beachside festivities, participants find moments of joy, laughter, and connection.
  8. Legacy and Continuity: Building a lasting legacy of remembrance, empowerment, and social change. Through ongoing support, education, and advocacy initiatives, participants continue to carry forward the mission of healing, justice, and reconciliation in their own lives and communities.

Through our concerted efforts, we empower Africans and descendants of Africans to embark on a transformative pilgrimage to Ghana. This sacred journey honors the past, celebrates the resilience of the human spirit, and inspires hope for a better future.”
